Early voting for the Special Gubernatorial starts on Wednesday, the 23^rd of September and closes on Saturday, October 1^st.  Times will be announced by the Voter’s Registration division of the Berkeley County Clerk’s office.  Registered voters may vote early at the Courthouse and need not have a reason for voting early.  The race to fill the unexpired term for Governor will be the only race on the ballot. 

Turnout is crucial in a race such as this.   Republicans have an excellent opportunity to win and we urge all Republicans to vote early, or on October 4^th, 2011, but make sure you vote.

The last day to register to vote in the October Special Election for Governor is September 13, 2011.  Please make certain that everyone in your household who is eligible to vote is registered.  This race, more than any in recent memory, is going to be determined by turnout.  It does not matter who you WANT to vote for, or who will BE the best choice.  It only matters that you go to the polls and cast a vote for your candidate.  Votes count – intentions and wishes don’t.

The West Virginia Republican State Executive Committee will meet in Shepherdstown on July 22 and 23, 2011.  Chairman Mike Stuart has an exciting meeting planned which will surely feature the Special Election for Governor.  Plan to attend.

On Thursday, June 16^th, Republican gubernatorial candidate Bill Maloney will be in Martinsburg on a campaign visit.  He will begin the day by appearing on a radio talk/call in show from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on WEPM; he will speak to the Rotary Club at noon at the Holiday Inn; he will visit downtown merchants (Jerry  Mays will be his guide) and he will end the day by speaking to the Berkeley County Republican Club 7:00 p.m. meeting at Ryans.
